AZDY 30711 started life as one of 75 WVX 17.12 m covered vans built by the Midland workshops, 30703 to 30777. Built between 1967 and 1968. These waggons were recoded to WBAX. They were cut down to form WQDF to carry sodium cyanide tank-tainers. Then re-coded to WQDY, and now AZDY. They operate between Perth and Kalgoorlie. XGA 20718 T narrow gauge grain waggon in the consist of 7642 loaded grain seen here at Midland, 3rd June, 2006. This is one of the last XGA waggons in grain service. They started out as coal waggons, then converted to grain, then finally to bauxite service.

The only repainted example of a WOB, 31395 L showing it's ARG emblem is at Binduli, 30th May 2006. There was only 25 WOB waggons made by Comeng in 1974. They are a cut down version of the Mt Newman Mining / BHP iron ore waggon.

Class leader WOA 31302 B is the first of the last batch of iron ore waggons made by the WAGR at their Midland workshops. 39 in total were made in 1970 - 71. They have a 74 ton capacity. Binduli 28th May, 2006.
