AZDY 30711 started life as one of 75 WVX 17.12 m covered vans built by the Midland workshops, 30703 to 30777. Built between 1967 and 1968. These waggons were recoded to WBAX. They were cut down to form WQDF to carry sodium cyanide tank-tainers. Then re-coded to WQDY, and now AZDY. They operate between Perth and Kalgoorlie. Seen here as part of 426 up Kal freighter, 8th June, 2007.

The only repainted example of a WOB, 31395 L showing it's ARG emblem is at Binduli, 30th May 2006. There was only 25 WOB waggons made by Comeng in 1974. They are a cut down version of the Mt Newman Mining / BHP iron ore waggon.
